Welcome to the Psalm Prep Page

You have access to special content on my site; please only share this Psalm Prep with those who will use these resource with love and care as you will.

The Psalm is an integral part of the Mass; whether it is sung or spoke, it’s delivery is important. Once cantors, ministers, and choirs learn how to bring the words to life, it becomes a whole different type of worship. Psalms are about praise, about sorrow, about good times and bad times. With the settings we use in Respond & Acclaim or other Psalm worship books, we get each of those during each liturgical season. If you are the psalmist at your parish, consider trying some different techniques and ways in which to deliver the words of the song. It is my hope that the Psalm Prep Steps will help you do just that.

Side note: The psalm setting I demonstrate in the video came from Respond and Acclaim. Thanks for watching!
